Design Team

Hi, I'm Angelica Arias, a Design Team Member at Q4A focused on contract administration. I bring over 18 years of experience across architecture and construction, having worked on housing, cultural, commercial, and infrastructure projects in Colombia and now, Canada.

I hold a Bachelor of Architecture from Universidad Piloto de Colombia, a Master's in the Integration of Renewable Energies in Architecture from Universidad Politécnica de Catalunya in Barcelona, and a Post-Degree Diploma in Project Management from the University of Winnipeg.

What drew me to this field is the belief that good architecture has the power to shape people's lives, and the quiet fascination of watching a small drawing become a real, inhabited building. That's still what motivates my best work: reviewing drawings, resolving discrepancies before they reach the site, and keeping a multidisciplinary team aligned so that what gets built matches what was intended. My background in sustainable design and material life cycle analysis shapes how I approach every project.

Outside of work, I'm always planning the next trip — travel and getting to know new cultures is a real passion of mine. When I'm home, you'll find me at a concert, behind a camera, or in the kitchen cooking something worth sharing, ideally with good coffee, good company, and my dog close by.
